Maggie’s List is set to honor Senate President Designate Joe Negron.
The political committee is holding a fundraising reception at the home of Lisa Miller in Tallahassee on May 31. Negron, a Stuart Republican and the incoming Senate President, will be honored. Rebecca Negron, the senator’s wife and a Congressional District 18 hopeful, and Mary Thomas, a Congressional District 2 candidate, are also slated to attend the event.
The host committees are a who’s who of lawmakers and supporters. Among those listed as platinum hosts are Indian River Tax Collector Carole Jean Jordan and Nancy Watkins. Event hosts include Sen. Lizbeth Benacquisto, Sen. Anitere Flores, Sen. Denise Grimsely and Marty Fiorentino.
Individual tickets to the reception are $100. However, if a patron raises or contributes $1,000 to the organization they will be considered an event host. Those patrons who raise or contribute $5,000 will be considered a platinum host.
Maggie’s List is a federal PAC that works to elect and support fiscally conservative women in Congress and the U.S. Senate. Sen. Negron is expected to discuss why he supports Maggie’s List.
