Bunni Pounds for Texas 5th Congressional District
A Conservative Leader & Entrepreneur Ready to Take on Washington
(Washington, D.C) - Maggie’s List, a federal political action committee dedicated to electing conservative women to office, is proud to announce the endorsement of Bunni Pounds for the 5th Congressional District. Bunni Pounds is a conservative leader and small business owner who is ready to take on the Washington elites.
As a fiscal conservative, Bunni understands the effects of high taxes on the families of CD-05. By serving the constituents of CD-05 for the past ten years, Bunni knows first-hand the representation that the citizens need in Washington. Bunni was former Congressman Jeb Hensarling’s campaign manager for ten years. Over the years, Bunni formed personal relationships with the individuals in Congressional District 05.
“Bunni Pounds is a proven leader who brings dedication and heart to Texas’ 5th Congressional District,” states Sandra B. Mortham, Chairman of Maggie’s List and former Florida Secretary of State. “We know Bunni is the right person to represent Texas in Washington because she respects the need for increased personal responsibility, fiscal conservatism, and fairly upholding law and order for the citizens of Texas.”

Bunni is a small business owner, a mom and a community leader. At the age of 32, Bunni received her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Dallas Baptist University. She owns and operates a successful consulting and fundraising firm, Bunni Pounds & Associates. Bunni is a published author of two Bible studies and a worship songwriter. Bunni and Tim have been married for 21 years and have two adult sons, Israel and Ben. The Pounds family resides in Garland.
