Born in South Korea and raised in Japan, Michelle Steel immigrated to the U.S. to build her own American Dream. After Maggie’s List endorsed her in 2020 for California’s 48th district, she won, and became one of the first Korean-American women to ever serve in Congress.  In 2022 she ran for California’s 45th district and won again with Maggie’s List’s support.
