Senate candidate Katie Britt has been endorsed by Maggie’s List, a conservative federal political action committee that supports conservative women running for office.

“At a time where women make up less than a quarter of United States Senators and only eight of those women are conservatives, electing Katie Britt to represent Alabama in the U.S. Senate is critically important,” Sandra Mortham, chairwoman of Maggie’s List, said in a statement. “We are proud to endorse Katie and know she will fight hard to stop the Biden administration from imposing the radical left’s socialist agenda on all Americans and get the government out of the way so that our children can enjoy a brighter, safer future.”

Maggie’s List is named after Margaret “Maggie” Chase Smith, a Republican who became the first woman elected to both chambers of Congress.

“I am excited to announce that Maggie’s List has endorsed our campaign to preserve the country we know and love for our children and our children’s children,” Britt said in a statement. “In the Senate, I will fight tirelessly to defend our Christian conservative values, advance the America First agenda and stop do-nothing career politicians from destroying the American Dream. I will always support fiscal conservatism, less government, more personal responsibility, individual freedoms, and strong national security.”
