Maggie’s List Candidates Victorious in Indiana Primary Election

Washington, D.C. – Maggie’s List, the country's leading political action committee focused on electing conservative women to federal public office, is pleased to announce a successful primary election day for our endorsed candidates in Indiana.

Results include:

  • Erin Houchin – Candidate for Indiana’s 9th House District – will face Democrat Matthew Fyfe
  • Rep. Victoria Spartz – Incumbent in Indiana’s 5th House District – will face Democrat Jeannine Lee Lake
  • Rep. Jackie Walorski – Incumbent in Indiana’s 2nd House District – will face Democrat Paul Steury

“Congratulations to our Maggie’s List candidates in Indiana, all of whom proudly represent the values of fiscal conservatism, limited government and strong national security. We look forward to supporting each of these women in their respective election efforts this fall,” said Sandra Mortham, Chairman of Maggie’s List.

Maggie’s List has seen a dramatic rise in the number of conservative women running for office during the last several election cycles. In light of the #MeToo movement, women’s activism is more important than ever.

According to the Center for American Women and Politics (CAWP), women comprise more than 56% of all voters, but less than 27% of our representation. Maggie’s List’s mission is to equalize those numbers and empower women to take a stand and run for what they believe in.
