Washington, D.C. – Maggie’s List, the country's leading political action committee focused on electing conservative women to federal public office, is pleased to announce a successful primary election day for our endorsed candidates in Illinois and Oklahoma. Results include:
“All Maggie’s List-endorsed candidates on the ballot this week won their primary races and we are thrilled for each of them,” said Sandra Mortham, Chairman of Maggie’s List.
“At a time where skyrocketing inflation and economic uncertainty are creating difficult challenges for families across America, we are committed to electing as many strong, female conservative candidates to office as possible and look forward to supporting these women in their general election contests,” she continued.
Maggie’s List has seen a dramatic rise in the number of conservative women running for office during the last several election cycles. In light of the #MeToo movement, women’s activism is more important than ever.
According to the Center for American Women and Politics (CAWP), women comprise more than 56% of all voters, but less than 27% of our representation. Maggie’s List’s mission is to equalize those numbers and empower women to take a stand and run for what they believe in.
