Washington, D.C. – Maggie’s List, the country's leading political action committee specifically focused on electing conservative women to federal public office, is thrilled to announce a successful primary election day for the PAC’s endorsed candidates in Texas.

Results include:

• Monica De La Cruz – Candidate for TX’s 15th House District – will face the winner of the Democratic primary runoff election.
• Kay Granger (incumbent) – Candidate for TX’s 12th House District – will face Democratic opponent Trey J. Hunt.
• Beth Van Duyne (incumbent) – Candidate for TX’s 24th House District – will face the winner of the Democratic primary runoff election.

“We at Maggie’s List are so proud of our candidates in Texas, all of whom have worked tirelessly for months to secure their nominations,” stated Sandra Mortham, Chairman of Maggie’s List. “Our grassroots network will continue to support these strong, conservative women who value fiscal conservatism, personal responsibility, small government and strong national security.”

Maggie’s List has seen a dramatic rise in the number of conservative women running for office during the last several election cycles. In light of the #MeToo movement, women’s activism is more important than ever.

According to the Center for American Women and Politics (CAWP), women comprise more than 56% of all voters, but less than 27% of our representation. Maggie’s List’s mission is to equalize those numbers and empower women to take a stand and run for what they believe in.
