Washington, D.C. – Maggie’s List, the country's leading political action committee focused on electing conservative women to federal public office, congratulates successful primary election results for our endorsed candidates in Alaska, Florida, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri and Washington this month.
“We are thrilled to congratulate all Maggie’s List-endorsed candidates who emerged victorious in their primary elections this month. While each candidate aspires to serve in different capacities, they all share the core values of limited government, fiscal responsibility and strong national security and we are proud to support their efforts to win in November,” said Maggie’s List Spokesperson Tina Ramirez.
Maggie’s List has seen a dramatic rise in the number of conservative women running for office during the last several election cycles. In light of the #MeToo movement, women’s activism is more important than ever.
According to the Center for American Women and Politics (CAWP), women comprise more than 56% of all voters, but less than 27% of our representation. Maggie’s List’s mission is to equalize those numbers and empower women to take a stand and run for what they believe in.
