Washington, D.C. — Maggie’s List, a federal political action committee (PAC) dedicated to electing fiscally conservative women to federal office and statewide executive office, is proud to announce the endorsement of Jeanette Nuñez for Lieutenant Governor of Florida in 2022.
Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Jeanette M. Nuñez is the first Hispanic female to be elected Lieutenant Governor of Florida. Serving as Lieutenant Governor since 2019, she oversees crucial areas like the Florida Department of Health, as well as serving as the Chair of Space Florida. She also serves as the Chair of Florida’s Cybersecurity Advisory Council and the Statewide Council on Human Trafficking.
“Lt. Gov. Jeanette Nuñez is a bright, shining light among conservative women and we are thrilled to endorse her re-election campaign. It has been my privilege to work with her in Florida politics for more than a decade and support her tireless dedication to ensure that future generations can thrive by enacting policies of smaller government, fiscal responsibility and educational freedom for all,” said Maggie’s List Chairman Sandra Mortham.
Prior to being elected Lieutenant Governor, Nuñez served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2010 – 2018, spending her final two years as the House Speaker Pro Tempore. She also developed an impressive background in the health care sector before entering public office. As a first-generation American and the daughter of Cuban immigrants, she embodies the American dream and has dedicated her life to serving her fellow Floridians.
“I am honored that Maggie's List has chosen to support my re-election campaign for office as they continue to be a driving force behind electing conservative women to office in Florida and across the country,” said Lt. Gov. Nuñez, candidate endorsed by Maggie’s List.
