Maggie's List proudly endorses Yuripzy Morgan for Maryland's 2nd Congressional District

Washington, D.C. — Maggie’s List, a federal political action committee (PAC) dedicated to electing fiscally conservative women to federal office, is proud to announce the endorsement of Yuripzy Morgan for Maryland’s 2nd Congressional District.

“Maryland claims to be a progressive, democratic state, but has zero women out of a delegation of ten representing the state in Congress.  Maggie's List gives an honest and real opportunity to the rhetoric that women's voices matter. I am honored to receive an endorsement from Maggie's List, and I look forward to using my voice to represent the needs of all the people in my district,” said Morgan, candidate endorsed by Maggie’s List.

“Yuripzy Morgan and her family are living the American dream. Her parents came to America for a better life for their kids and grandkids. I have known Mrs. Morgan for many years and enthusiastically endorse her as our next congresswoman from Maryland's 2nd district,” said Maggie’s List Maryland State Chair Kathy Szeliga.

Yuripzy Morgan’s interest in government began with her family. Her mother fled the civil war in El Salvador and her father is from Mexico. She was born and raised in East Texas several years after they met. They did not have much, but they did have a strong belief that anything was possible in America. It was a belief that her parents instilled in her and her 4 four siblings.

Yuripzy attended the University of Texas at Arlington where she graduated with a degree in B.S. Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in Biology and a B.A. History. She later moved to Maryland and graduated from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, and practiced law in the Baltimore region before joining WBAL Newsradio and hosting her own daily political talk radio show for several years. Yuripzy married her husband in 2013. His experience as a Captain in the US Army infantry, to include leading soldiers in combat operations for a year and a half in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom, further influenced her interest in national security and protecting our military and veterans

Recently she left a comfortable job hosting her own daily political talk radio show on WBAL because "it was time to stop talking and start doing."
