Maggie’s List Thanks Congressional Chairwoman Rep. Debbie Lesko for Her Service

Washington, D.C. – Following her retirement announcement, Maggie’s List today released the following statement thanking Congresswoman Debbie Lesko (R-AZ) for her dedicated service in office and as Congressional Chairwoman of the group:

“We wish Congresswoman Lesko the very best in her retirement and extend our gratitude to her for serving as our Congressional Chairwoman,” said Sandra B. Mortham, Chairman of Maggie’s List and former Florida Secretary of State. “During her tenure as Congressional Chairwoman, Maggie’s List celebrated our strongest election cycle in history, with 36 of our endorsed candidates securing victory in their respective races. All of us at Maggie’s List are grateful for Rep. Lesko’s service and hope she enjoys her well-deserved retirement,” she continued.

Maggie’s List is the country’s leading political action committee specifically focused on electing conservative women to public office. The organization has seen a dramatic rise in the number of conservative women running for office during the last several election cycles. In light of the #MeToo movement, women’s activism is more important than ever.

According to the Center for American Women and Politics (CAWP), women comprise more than 56% of all voters, but less than 27% of our representation. Maggie’s List’s mission is to equalize those numbers and empower women to take a stand and run for what they believe in.

About Maggie’s List:
